Plug In: Social Aims to Gather Fondren

With a young, eclectic and socially connected neighborhood like Fondren, is it possible to feel “out of the loop?” One Fondrenite thinks so and that’s why he’s taking initiative to bring the young – and young at heart closer together.

Fischer Reception, Show About Color

Fischer Reception, Show About Color

Fischer Galleries is a colorful place and one you’ll want to stop in to on your next Fondren visit. If you peek inside, you’ll see works by three artists, celebrating the hues and tones of variety. “The show is all about color, says Marcy Nessel, the gallery’s owner. “But it’s showcased in three different mediums.” The coming together of the three was one of those things Nessel says ‘just happened.’ “The stars were all in alignment apparently for this show!” The opening reception will held next Thursday night from 5-7pm.
